Gordon Miller Buehrig is a nationally known automobile designer, most noted for his work for the Duesenberg brothers, where he was the chief body designer. He also designed the "Duesenbird" radiator ornament.

It was his work on the Cord that stopped the show at the 1935 New York Auto Show. In 1951, the Museum of Modern Art recognized his 810 Cord in the museum catalogue with these words, "the originality of the conception and the skill with which its several parts have been realized makes it one of the most powerful designs in the exhibition." His story was in the book "Rolling Sculpture" written by Gordon Buehrig, in conjunction with William S. Jackson.
